4 Family Law Marketing Ideas for Growing Firms

So you own a family law firm, but you’re not quite sure how to market it. We get it. It can be tough to spread the word about your child custody and divorce services.

Luckily, we’ve worked with law firms in the space, like our current client Anton Garcia Law, so we know a thing or two about using social media and marketing tactics for this type of firm.

Here are 4 things to consider when coming up with family law marketing ideas.

Make sure your attorneys are all active on LinkedIn.

LinkedIn is an excellent platform for building new connections and representing the firm you work for. It’s a great place to establish yourself as an industry leader and educate your connections about what you do. If you have a consistent presence on the platform, it’s highly likely that people will remember you when they’re in need of family law services.

Start a blog.

We’ve seen first-hand in working with Anton Garcia Law that having a blog is incredibly helpful when trying to boost your firm’s search rankings. “Search engine optimization (SEO) is the practice of utilizing specific goal-oriented strategies to get your site ranking higher in search engine results pages (SERPs).”

You can easily start a blog by having one of our attorneys write regular content on topics that you handle or by hiring an expert who understands SEO and keywords to include in your posts.

Invest in video for your social media pages.

“54% of consumers want to see more video content from a brand or business they support.” (source) Video is a naturally engaging media platform and it’s a great way to quickly build rapport with potential clients. Including your attorneys in video gives your business a human, personal touch that creates transparency for your business.

Gather reviews from past clients.

If clients appear happy with your services, following a case, it’s always okay to ask for a review. Reviews should be left on Facebook and Google especially, because these are two of the first platforms that clients look at when choosing a law firm to work with. Gathering reviews not only helps you build trust initially with new clients, it also boosts your search rankings. Check out the screenshot below to see how it works. The firm with the most reviews appears first in the Google map search.
